Sunkist
Sunkist was ready to pop and no one was going to adopt a dog that pregnant from the shelter. No one knew what to do. This wasnt a shelter we normally covered but something about her 'spoke' to this foster mom and she made the trip out there. So Sunkist and the soda puppies became SPARR dogs. Around every St Pattys day we think about the soda puppies and Sunkist and how the foster mom loaded her van and made the 2 hour journey to save them.
Maestro
It's funny how such cute dogs can be such a mess on the inside. Maestro had so many stones he could have started his own rock garden. But after a quick surgery he is good as new... with his new family.
Bugsy
Bugsy was a wiggly butt and we had no idea why such a handsome boy was not getting adopted at the shelter... we were told it was because he had a cherry eye. Of course the shelter will fix these things upon adoption but still no one was willing to put down a deposit. So as time went by we kept our eye on him.. and his butt stopped wiggling. But now he is back to being a wiggly but, no more cherry eye and he has a new sister.
Madison
Madison was sitting in the local shelter with no hair from the waist down. It looked like she forgot to put on her pants. As for the hair on the top half it sort of looked like chicken feathers. She had been overlooked for weeks. We knew we had to act eventhough we werent really sure what was wrong. Lucky for her nothing was wrong she just had a fleq allergy and needed some good care. Madison was in lucky a couple from Wisconsin had just moved to town and were looking for a little dog to love. They took it as a good sign that her name was Madison. A year later they added a new brother Chew-chi.
Sassafrass
Sassafrass had so many ticks on her that it literally took days for three volunteers to pick them off. She was a trooper through it all and was a mellow girl througout the process. Once it was done Sassy quickly found a home that would never let another tick near her.
